Excerpt from World-Wide Bible Study
The object of this book is threefold: First, to show the reasons for the world-wide interest in the Bible; second, to point out how people may become interested in the Bible; third, to reveal the modern opportunity of the Bible, in relation to the state, the school, the home, and the church.
Particular attention is given to the preparation and the training of Bible teachers, because of the wide-spread need of efficient leadership in Bible study.
The author wishes to express his appreciation and indebtedness to The Sunday School Times for permission to publish a number of articles which have appeared in the Times. He wishes also to thank The Christian Herald for like permission to include two or three articles published in that paper.
